Tissue-based Pain
When specific causes of symptoms aren't known, doctors sometimes refer to conditions simply by naming the symptoms. The term soft tissue pain simply refers to discomfort somewhere in the interconnected system of muscles, tendons, and ligaments, as opposed to the bones, and says nothing about the particular cause.
Tissue based pain and some symptoms
Trigger points can develop within the muscle fibers, theses fibers are much like strands of hair and just like hair can knot and cause what is known as trigger points. You can often feel trigger points as little knots that are hard and sore in different areas of the body.
A dehydrated body is unable to flush out toxins and other waste. Usually these are naturally moved through the body by going through the blood stream to the kidneys and liver, where they are eliminated. But if you are dehydrated, the lack of water means the blood can't flush them properly. When this occurs, trigger points can easily develop, or become more severe, and pain, knots or cramping can occur.
Fascia, a component of connective tissue, is a form of packing material for the body, providing lines of stress/shock absorption and structural integrity. Fascia envelopes muscles, bones and joints and holds us together and upright. The fascia is interconnected and forms a matrix throughout the body which is why science is now telling us it may be the largest organ of our body.
We can help
Bowen and Emmett technique are the only therapies I know that initiate a response from the body with specific moves that are directed through the fascia and restoring integity. Injury and trauma, dehydration all affect the fascia, and trigger points which in turn affects the systems of the body. The natural therapies used by Perpetual Movement therapist address all soft tissue pain and in most cases resolving symptoms.
