Yoga in clinical practice
Yoga's focus on strength and flexibility is an incredible benefit to your body. The postures are meant to strengthen your body from the inside-out.
When the core is working properly, posture is improved, helping to alleviate back, shoulder, neck and general aches and pains.
Yoga is of great benefit to our internal organs also, allowing our bodies to perform with greater proficiency.
Kerry, our Yoga facilitator integrates this service into her treatments.
She can teach and facilitate individual yoga stretching and strengthening exercises for ongoing maintenance and general health and wellbeing.
Occasionally we run workshops which include Yoga practices such as the Chakra workshop, and run a group yoga program designed to teach specific routines to help with aliments such as Lower Back Pain or Neck and Shoulder Pain. This workshop also includes other stretching and strengthening exercises as well as a bit of meditation.
The short programs we have developed are not run as often as we would like due to the fact that we are a very busy clinic helping people one on one.
We try to run each of the courses at least once a year based on the interest shown by our clients. If you would like to add your name to our list we can notify you of the dates they will be running. Please send us an email.
